A much easier driving day except for the city traffic. I am so not used to all these interchanges. Glad it was a weekend and not rush hour. Drivers think nothing of cutting in right in front us.
Noticed s lot of swollen rivers and flooded woods between Nashville and Memphis. We have also seen several highway signs broken at the posts just below the sign itself. We figure it was from the storms that swept through this area.
This campground was the first one built in 1938 for blacks to camp. Now it needs a lot of TLC. Did a short hike on the trail next to the campground. Lots of mosquitoes and some flowers. Also lots of poison ivy. The trails also need a lot of work.
